	About Our Local American Red Cross Chapter and You

	We don't know the hour or day a disaster will occur. There is no way to imagine the magnitude of the impact a disaster has on individuals of all ages. Those devastated ask, "Where will I live, what will we eat, what will the children wear to school tomorrow, how soon can I replace my medication?" And they ask, "please help us get through this tragedy." The largest number of house fires in our area occurs during the winter months. Loss of shelter, clothing and life's other essentials during the cold months are a heavy burden. I ask you to put yourself in the place of those who have no one to help them recover from such tough setbacks. All disaster assistance from your local American Red Cross is an outright gift from you, the American public, made possible by donations.
