One of the greatest challenges of our organization is to raise funds to deliver services. The American Red Cross is not, nor is it directed by a government agency. Public Funds are not appropriated to the American Red Cross to carry out its services and programs. The American Red Cross is financially supported by voluntary contributions, organizations, foundations and cost-reimbursement charges for the products and services it offers to the public. We are a United Way agency and receive funds from the United Way of Northeast Louisiana and the Morehouse Parish United Fund.

All funds donated to the Northeast Louisiana Chapter stay in Northeast Louisiana and are used to deliver services to individuals in our jurisdiction.

Opportunity 1: Membership
In early spring a letter is mailed to donors asking for an annual gift ranging from $50 to $1,000. Donations are encouraged throughout the year.

Opportunity 2: Memorials
Financial gifts can be made in memory of living or deceased individuals. This is a wonderful opportunity to remember special people and support the life of an organization.

Opportunity 3: In-Kind Donations
Our chapter is very fortunate to receive services and gifts donated by special friends. These include: comfort kits for disaster clients, bottled water, cases of copy paper, etc. We DO NOT accept food and clothes. Please keep the Red Cross in mind!

Opportunity 4: Planned Giving
It is important for each of us to make a will and plan for our financial future. The Northeast Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross encourages you to think of us in your estate planning.
